Getting there

We would encourage anyone who can get to the race by public transport to do so. Here are some helpful instructions.

Mytholmroyd is served by a train station on the Leeds – Manchester Victoria line and is one stop away from Hebden Bridge.

Not all trains stop at Mytholmroyd Train Station so do check.

Come out of Mytholmroyd station and turn right onto B6138 Cragg Vale Road. Turn left and follow the Cragg Road Road until it meets Stocks Lane on the right. Take this road and turn left onto Nest Lane. Carry on as it turns into Park Road. You’ll see the HQ tents in the field on your left hand side.

If you get a train to Hebden Bridge you can take the cycle path. Come out of the station building and turn immediately right down the steep slope. This is the start of a traffic free/riverside path to Mytholmroyd. It only takes 5 minutes by bicycle or 15 minutes to walk or jog to the race HQ. At the end of the cycle track follow Caldene Avenue until you reach the last road on your right called Thrush Hill Road. Follow this road which then turns into Nest Lane. Carry on as it turns into Park Road. You’ll see the HQ tents in the field on your left hand side

Alternatively you can walk onto the main road from the station onto Burnley Road and crossing over you will see a bus stop where you can catch a bus to Mytholmroyd. Get off at the stop in Mytholmroyd at Dusty Miller Pub. Turn left towards the pedestrian lights where you should cross the road. Turn right and follow the road immediately on your left, over the bridge. Go past the entrance for Mytholmroyd Community Centre and take the next road on your left which is Thrush Hill Road. Follow this road which then turns into Nest Lane. Carry on as it turns into Park Road. You’ll see the HQ tents in the field on your left hand side

Buses from Halifax area come in the opposite direction. Get off at the stop just after you see Russell Dean furniture shop. Walk right towards the pedestrian lights and take the first road on your left then after the bridge. Go past the entrance for Mytholmroyd Community Centre and take the next road on your left which is Thrush Hill Road. Follow this road which then turns into Nest Lane. Carry on as it turns into Park Road. You’ll see the HQ tents in the field on your left hand side

If you are coming by car PLEASE car share as parking is always very tight at Mytholmroyd Community Centre and it's way more fun, environmentally friendly and cost effective to share.
