It was just great to see how many juniors turned up from all over the place to take part in the Coiners race. It was even nicer to have a quarter of the field running for Calder Valley . When we were planning this we had no idea how many would turn out and last year there was only 26 runners in total. This year we had 71, I thought we were going to run out of numbers and entry forms as kids kept appearing in the registration tent.

The race wouldn't have happened but for the work of the marshalls and organisers so a big thanks to Andy Alec Adam Linda Tom Richard Bill Anne Kay and Bernard. And a special mention to the following parents who got stuck in and helped on the day – Sue Carron Robert and Josie.

Now to the races and well done to all of you who took part. The distances for the age groups stick to FRA guidelines on distance but luckily there are no guidelines about how much up hill we can include. The courses are great as they have bits of everything in them but they are tough. All the results are up on the website so there is no need to go into them here and everyone ran well. There were some great performances as well and I think it was fantastic that in the U10 we had 8 of the top 10 including Issy in 9 th and Joe in 2 nd running his first race for us.

All the courses were new as some had been slightly changed from last year and some had been completely changed so all the winners set course records so Issy has bagged another record and Becky has her first.

All the points have been added up and the club championship has been updated and is also on the web. There are some tight battles developing particularly U10 B with Nial Luca and Edan all closing in on Euan.
