We had our first junior Presentation on Sat 23rd Feb which was rally well attended by both proud juniors and proud parents. In keeping with our belief that it is all meant to be fun and that effort needs rewarding just as much as achievement if not more we made sure that everyone went away with something to show for their efforts and not just holes in the trousers from all the impressive knee slides on the polished floor of Mytholmroyd Community Centre.
Firstly everyone who has made the effort to join up and train received a small trophy which is now over 80 kids. Secondly for everyone who ran in at least one race in the club championship there were some rather nice engraved glass cubes. Now if anyone can tell me how they do that I will be very impressed.

Then we got to the serious business of presenting trophies to everyone who had run enough races and racked up enough points to either win or come runner up in their age category. The list of winners has been up on the website already so you all know who they are.
Extra awards were given by the 3 coaches for someone from their training group who had just put lots of effort in. Andy gave his to Finlay King, Alastairs award went to Thomas Jennings and Alec gave his to Chloe Greenwood.
Well done to all our winners and all our runners. 2007 was a great year and 2008 will be even better.

Thanks to everyone who has helped out over the year and to everyone who helped with the presentation evening. In particular Karl Gray the clubs star runner who is ranked highly in the English and British races who happily came along to give out the trophies.
